I’m Kristina Cinquegrana Petrilli…I believe in pursuing your passions and doing the things that add joy to your life, and the lives of others.…
Wife to Dan, Mama Bear of two amazing boys, artist, designer, marketer, lover of color, branding and details, native Rhode Islander and graduate of the University of Rhode Island (‘07) and North Providence High School (‘03).
I love enabling small businesses and brands to do big things by putting their best brand forward through their digital presence (websites, online storefronts, email design and social media) and physical presence (business cards, packaging, collateral, thank you note included with your products, or signage). Launching and maintaining the brands of local small businesses including Nurturing Wellness Physical Therapy and Pelvic Health, Hope Rope Co., Lily’s Ladle Bone Broth, Lily’s Soups & Scoops, Spark Bridal Boutique and Fleur Soiree, and re-designing, launching and maintaining the Yacht Club Soda website and online store have been some of my favorite projects over the last several years. I’ve also had my custom wedding invitations opened by over 2,000 guests.
In 2022 I co-founded Faith & Grace Design Studios alongside career music educator, pianist and creative Shirley Quetta Medici. Over 130 greeting card designs, notecards and bespoke stationery are available with more on the way. You can purchase cards directly through our Faith & Grace website, Etsy shop, and can also find a selection at retail locations in Rhode Island. As a team, we have worked with the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation and its Flames of Hope: A Celebration of Life annual event in Providence, RI, Greenwich Bay Chiropractic, Fleur Soiree Floral Event Design of Newport, Spark Bridal Boutique of Cranston, AJ’s Army Foundation and Our Lady of Mercy School.
I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Summa Cum Laude) in Studio Art while studying Italian. Over those four years at the University of Rhode Island, I painted with acrylic, illustrated with pastels, pencil & charcoal, and designed digitally in 2D and 3D. In 2007, I brought my 3D design skills to Darmstadt, Germany to work with the National Science Foundation at the Technical University of Darmstadt. Ever since, I’ve been putting my energy into graphic design, content photography, branding, advertising and marketing, and, of course, fine art. My fine arts skills are utilized in everything I do with a keen eye for composition, light and color.
These are a few of my favorite things:
The Ocean State — Rhode Island — my home. There is something special about our four seasons. Sunrises and sunsets along the coastline (Narragansett, Wickford, SK and Warwick have some sweet spots!)
Painting seascapes, skyscapes and coastal objects, inspired by our coastline. That amazing thing that happens when you use a palette knife to place paint on a clean canvas
Tulips, peonies, and hydrangeas. I love photographing flowers, especially at local farms like Wicked Tulips, Electric Moon Peony Farm, Narrow Lane Orchard, and the Farmer’s Daughter.
The color teal, and every shade of it
Printed paper (yes, print is alive and necessary in communications strategy)
Pairing typefaces together
Macro photography
Handwritten notes placed in the mail
A big thank you to two important influences in my career to date: Martha Langer, East Greenwich graphic designer and owner of East Greenwich-based Pear Ink Design, and the late William “Bill” Klenk, professor emeritus of Fine Arts at the University of Rhode Island.
